Our passion grows and our infrastructure is complete despite the impact of a ROGUE builder!!
SAVE OUR ISLES ARE DOUBLE MATCHING DONATIONS _ EVERY £20 becomes £60 and every £250 becomes £750 ...................Amazing and will be so appreciated by so many in the future
Volunteers from Aviva have been an amazing support to us this year, last year and the year before - THANKYOU for the significant amount of man hours you have given us
Empowering Futures have survived the obstructions and unforeseen issues over the past three years. We finally have a warm space, hot running water and a toilet to flush, basic facilities we have worked without for a very long time!
By Day and by Night

Now we want to plough forward with the land improvement. We have amazing ideas and each will yield long term impacts for the soil and extra produce for foodbanks and the vulnerable. Barney is ready to help too and wants to be included.
Climate Change
By deliberately sowing an acre of new grasses we aim to attract new rarer species who each have a job to do in nature. Enriching the soil, capturing carbon with deep roots, preserving water will all improve it too enabling biodiversity in the area to grow. Wildlife and insects need food to survive too!

We want to grow our sensory area, educate those in the community, who will be encouraged and educated to do their bit.
The more we learn, the more we can share, the bigger the impact.
Climate change can be fascinating for adults and children. Exploring nature and its endless facets spark conversations, inspire interest, curiosity and new adventures for many that have little knowledge. Additionally being in nature improves mental health and well being for everyone. Integration is important.

Our project will explore and encourage community involvement and local schools to learn more about climate c
hange and biodiversity by being a part of the action. New plants, shrubs, trees, seeds, wildflowers etc will be planted - all of which will serve a specific purpose. The project will design scavenger hunts to make learning fun whilst recognising purpose.
We want t
o create a haven for wildlife, birds and rare species whilst creating a peaceful, safe place for community groups to visit. Our project will create a willow dome for childrens forestry school complete with a food forest. A living wall which will be reachable for cuttings. An orchard with new fruit trees to complim
ent the established apple trees we have. Bug houses, bird feeders, log piles and various other attractions will create
more habitats.
We want
to record and compile our information, as the project develops to create a lasting memory and something we can share with other organisations, families, schools so they can replicate our project if they desire. Alternatively, our journey could inspire others to follow in their own way........................................
Our hidden treasure will become a haven of safety for wildlife, new species and an accessible place for people.
