Aim: TaCH CC aim to improve the clubhouse facilities and develop a 3rd team pitch due to the number of junior and ladies teams we are now running
Tanworth and Camp Hill CC was established in 2010 following the merger of Tanworth-in-Arden CC and Camp Hill Old Edwardians CC. This year sees us celebrate 50 years of Cricket at our Tanworth Lane ground, competing in the Cotswold Hills League structure. We run 3 Saturday teams and 1 on Sundays. We also have a large junior section, encompassing All Stars and Dynamo's as well as teams from U9 to U16. 2024 saw the launch of our Womens and Girls section, with the ladies reaching the final of the Warwickshire 100 ball competition at the first attempt. We are a family-oriented community club that values volunteering above all else and seeks to develop our young stars both on and off the field.
As a community amateur sports club finances are always tight, by crowdfunding to achieve our goals, we hope to be able to stretch your generous donations to the max to ensure we are able to continue to develop our facilities for the benefit of the members and the wider community.
In our celebration year we want to take it back to where we began and develop a second cricket facility in the heart of the village of Tanworth in Arden. We are pleased to announce we have secured a licence to use the Muntz Ground, Bates Lane to re-develop the pitch that the club played on prior to the purchase of our current facility. This will provide a home for our Saturday 3rd XI, Women and Girls section and allow our junior section to continue to grow. It will put TaCH CC back at the heart of the local community.
We would also like to complete some renovations to our current facilities, including improved changing areas, improved car parking and replacing some of our tired furniture. This will ensure that TaCH CC is open for use by the whole community and can continue to be an asset to the local community.
Our clubhouse is the heart of our club, but she is showing her age! The original wooden structure was purchased 50 years ago from a neighbouring club and moved lock, stock and barrel as a temporary solution! 50 years on she requires some TLC. Our changing facilities need an upgrade to meet modern requirements and unisex use. Our car park requires work to level and surface and our lounge furniture needs replacing. The re-development of the playing surface at Muntz Field alone will cost approximately £10000 in the next 12 months but is vital to ensure the continued growth of the club, ensuring space to play for our future stars.
The potential community impact of our project is huge. Firstly by developing a second playing surface in the centre of Tanworth in Arden, we will ensure TaCH CC is at the heart of the community, with Cricket being played on the village green! This will create a focal point for the community during the summer months and allow young and old to benefit from both the social and sporting benefits of the project.
Secondly, improvements to our clubhouse facilities will allow us to continue to attract young families, senior players and social members to the club, ensuring we maintain a thriving and diverse membership. Facilities that we can be proud of can be opened up for community use. This in turn will secure both the financial and sporting futures of the club.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
