Aim

Two great minds. One life-changing meeting. Help bring SYNCHRONICITY — the play about Jung & Pauli — back to the stage.

SYNCHRONICITY is a gripping piece of science theatre about psychology, physics, alchemy — and the extraordinary sparks that fly when two brilliant minds meet. Written by Arthur I. Miller, a Bronx-born physicist-turned-author whose works include Einstein, Picasso (Pulitzer Prize nominee), Empire of the Stars (shortlisted for the Aventis Prize), and The Artist in the Machine, the play is inspired by his acclaimed book 137: Jung, Pauli, and the Pursuit of a Scientific Obsession. Arthur is, in the words of Walter Isaacson, “a master at capturing the intersection of creativity and intelligence.”

In 1931, the brash young Nobel Prize–winning physicist Wolfgang Pauli (Jeremy Drakes) sought help from world-renowned analyst Carl Jung (Stephen Riddle). Pauli’s neurosis was so intense that Jung felt as if “the wind had blown over from the lunatic asylum”. Their explosive conversations changed them both — and perhaps even our understanding of the universe.

Directed by Anthony Shrubsall, SYNCHRONICITY has been called “an intimate, intelligent drama…” (Theater-News.com). Dramatic, gripping, and wryly humorous, it takes audiences inside the minds of two brilliant men and the extraordinary sparks that fly between them. Its first run in November 2024 sold out, earning glowing reviews from audiences, Jungian analysts, and scientists alike — many begged us to bring it back.

From 14th to 18th October, the play will return to the renowned White Bear Theatre in London — but we need your help. Your support will go directly towards venue hire, theatre staff, set and costumes, transporting props, and marketing to reach new audiences

Our vision is to create intelligent, intimate theatre that makes science and psychology accessible to everyone — sparking conversation, challenging ideas, and inspiring wonder. With your help, SYNCHRONICITY can once again connect minds, hearts, and imaginations.
