Improving our functionality and services to help increase visibility of independent brands and make shopping small sustainable.

Hi, I am Trina, founder of Swishforit, a universal wish list, where users can save anything from anywhere to curate and organise shopping finds or simply ponder (or dream) about buying later.

Initially simply a gift list site (I couldn't bear the amount of waste generated from unwanted gifts; £5Billion in the UK at Christmas alone) Swishforit has become so much more and we are becoming a platform of discovery and inspiration. People enjoy saving things they love and places they discover for when they want to buy.

We constantly receive feedback that people want help to unearth the independents that can be hard to discover.

So this is our new mission, to connect and inspire with amazing independents. Our clever functionality also helps keep shoppers connected and keeps them coming back.

We have many plans to develop our partnerships with our partners and make shopping small as easy as it is to shop from the giants of the retail world. 

Our vision

Our aim is to connect shoppers with what they want, when they want it. Helping shoppers discover, be inspired and remember what they see and helping them quickly and easily return to buy time and time again.

Whilst doing this we want to help reduce the amount of waste created from unwanted gifts and redefine how we buy and give gifts ensuring all gifts are loved and wanted and wont head straight to landfill or the bottom of a drawer!

What is Swishforit?

Swishforit is a universal wish list, where you can save anything from anywhere. A place to save, plan and organise all your shopping needs and fins, ready to buy at the click of a button when you are ready. 

Forget multiple wish lists across every site where you have seen something you love (lets face it there are too many anyway!). Swishforit is your wish list where you can save anything you like. 

The lists are perfect for gift lists too, with easy sharing and we even have a secret functionality and assist in making sure you mark something as purchased, meaning no one else buys the same things. 

What’s Next?

We are building our brand discovery platform, helping increase visibility of independents by creating a platform shoppers can come and find them, whilst helping them retain their brand identity and also be easily added to the personal virtual high street of the shopper. 

Shopping from one place – a screen, means we have limited visual markers of where we saw a certain products, or discovered shops before we had a need to buy from them. By helping keep shoppers and retailers connected in a convenient place where they can organise all their shopping needs and wants from anywhere in one place, means that we help increase the chance of converting a discovery into a purchase. 

We want to develop the virtual high street section of the shop to make it more interactive and more user friendly, in turn making it more effective for both consumer and retailers. By creating a place where shoppers can save and remember all the things and places they see and love from many places we aim to make it as easy to shop from 20 different place for 20 different things as it is to go to 1 place for everything. 

This all kicks off with our first month long Swish Show Case event that is showcasing over 60 different brands all in one place, where you can browse, shop and save for future shopping plans. Please come and support us and the wonderful independent brands that are part of this event. 

We need your help! 

We want to develop our platform to support the brand discovery and personalised virtual high street element to help people shop easily at many places and remember all the things and places they love ready to shop when they need them.

So this is where you come in, if each of our lovely sign ups pledged just £10 each or if each of our followers on Facebook pledged £5 each we would meet our target easily and Natwest Back Her Business will double the £5,000 pledged to £10,000. This would be an amazing amount of money and can help give us the boost we need. 

We have been amazed at the response we get when telling people about Swishforit, it seems everyone needs it and everyone can see the potential of how this can revolutionise our shopping habits in today's world.
