Swimathon 2026

Aim

The annual Keynsham Amateure Swimming Club Swimathon returns for 2026. This year we're raising funds for new exciting training equipment!

Who are we?

At Keynsham Amateur Swimming club we aim to cultivate a family friendly and inclusive community swimming club, where swimmers, from recreational enthusiasts to competitive athletes, can develop their skills, achieve their personal best and create a lifelong love of swimming. We strive to provide a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork and personal growth, while strengthening community bonds through a shared passion for young people and swimming. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to help support our members, to keep monthly membership fees as low as possible to allow all members of the community to participate. Rising costs for pool hire and the cost to train our volunteers means we are needing funding now more than ever. 

How we’ll spend the money raised

We are holding a Swimathon on 29th June, with the main focus on raising a target of £1000 to purchase new, exciting training equipment to be used across all of the squads. The equipment we would like to buy includes Tech Toc belts, underwater video equipment, parachutes and bungees, all to help train our swimmers to the highest standards and achieve their swimming ambitions.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can use in our Summer Raffle. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!

Funding method

Keep what you raise – this project will receive all pledges made by 18th July 2026 at 10:00pm
