Aim

We want to ensure that our team can continue their educational development and ensure that as a business we are stronger than ever

The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for  millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive. 

Sweat Southsea has been operating for over five years. We offer a viable alternative to commercial gyms with a promise of no intimidation, no egos and no mirrors. 

We proudly employ five young people and have a successful recent history and partnership with the University of Portsmouth Careers and Employability Service. We have strong sense of community which has been strengthened during this uncertain time.

This is why we have decided to turn to crowdfunding to ensure that our team can continue their educational development and ensure that as a business we are still able to deliver the standards and knowledge that we pride ourselves on.

We have launched this Pay It Forward Crowdfunding scheme after many of our wonderful clients offered to ‘park’ future bookings. Now with match-funding schemes available, we hope we can still deliver on our program of education for our amazing team, continue to offer a wide range of services online (and possibly outdoors soon) and we are working to ensure that we can bounce back, hitting the ground running when the time comes.

 As a business we have had to furlough all but one employee. Antonia Smith was not eligible for the scheme and has worked incredibly hard to enable us to maintain an online presence. We hope to do more as restrictions are lifted and we are planning for all scenarios. 

We have seen revenue decrease by 90% in the weeks since lockdown started. We ask that our community support our Pay It Forward campaign, booking Goal Getters or Blocks of PT.

 We hope that the target will be matched by the scheme available.
