 New stretch target

With your help, we're already reaching hundreds of thousands of people.

With extra support, we will aim to reach millions of people and help vote swapping make real electoral impact this election.

We'll be able to commission a video explainer, better social media, and spread the word through more channels.

Thank you for all your support!

It’s a critical time for the UK.

It’s more important than ever before that people work together to get the right outcome at this general election. In the absence of electoral pacts, people’s votes are split between many parties, and without working together we might snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Swap My Vote helps voters work together to make sure this victory is theirs!

Unbelievably, 70% of people’s votes are regularly wasted at general elections in this country. In 2017, that was 22 million people’s votes

Until we can get Proportional Representation, the only way we can get a more representative parliament is by tactical voting.

But if you’ve voted for the same party all your life, it can be difficult to vote for someone else just because they have a better chance where you live.

That’s where Swap My Vote comes in…

We pair you up with another voter who votes for your party where they could have a better chance of getting elected, and you do the same for them.

It's a win-win.

We’ve already proved that this works in 2015 and 2017. We've reached hundreds of thousands of people with the idea of vote swapping, and tens of thousands of voters have used the site, and all on a shoestring.

This time, we want to take it to the next level and reach even more people than ever before – the more people that swap their votes, the better and fairer the election result can be.

There is a lot to do.

Building an army of tens of thousands of voters takes a lot of -

  • community outreach
  • press and radio work
  • supporting people with questions and queries
  • and we want to keep making the tool better and better (we have a roadmap).…

Just imagine if, this election, we could build our community of supportive voters into hundreds of thousands, or (stretch goal) even more!

We will have a real shot making working together the central principle for the future of the UK.
