Project by SWANSEA COMMUNITY FARM

On November 30th, four of our thrill seeking staff, Cerys, Sam, Liz and Jamie, will be taking part in the zipwire challenge, where they will descend hundreds of feet in the air, all in the name of charity.  All funds raised will help support hundreds of volunteers and community members with their mental health and wellbeing at our truly unique haven in the heart of Swansea. Please show your support by donating what you can. Diolch.

Swansea Community Farm is an independent local charity that relies on donations to thrive. Every contribution allows us to offer vital activities for those in need and maintain our green spaces for both people and wildlife.

At Swansea Community Farm, we combat social isolation and poor mental health by bringing people together to create a meaningful community. This community actively runs, develops, and manages a city farm where our rare breed animals play a crucial role. Many of our volunteers find it challenging to connect with others, but through caring for these animals—whether they have four legs or two—they learn to enjoy nurturing relationships and communicating without words. This marks the beginning of life-changing journeys for many.

That's why fundraising is crucial to us, as it ensures we can continue supporting our community, especially the most vulnerable. Without consistent fundraising, we wouldn't be able to maintain our facilities, care for our animals, or provide the free, accessible programs that so many people depend on. In essence, fundraising is what keeps Swansea Community Farm thriving and able to serve our community.

"If the Farm didn't exist I strongly feel that my daughters mental health would have continued to deteriorate - she would have self-harmed and felt little self-worth" Parent of 15 year old Volunteer with ASD and mental health concerns

"I absolutely love connecting with the animals each time I come down. The farm is like a break from your every day life and it’s just so healthy to give back to the community and the earth, it’s a rich experience, it’s good for the soul." Adult Volunteer
