Who are we?
Swanley Bowls Club has been part of the community for 40 years. It is more than just an outdoor bowls club. The core of the club revolves around providing a safe outdoor exercise in good company.

Why are we crowdfunding?
The Heart of the Bowls Club is the Green. The volunteers on the 'Greenkeepers Group' spend a great deal of time maintaining it
The sprinklers control the water with maximum efficiency, so minimise the amount used.
Every Drop Counts.
The club has managed to raise, via various fundraising events, the finance to replace over half the system.
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

Community impact.
Run entirely by volunteers, we actively encourage people to get involved, holding free 'attend and try' Open Days. We help the local community by providing an activity that contributes to bringing pleasure to people, and plays a real part in maintaining their mental wellbeing.
Many of the members are retired, but keep themselves busy playing bowls and helping to manage events. This includes raising money for a local charity - chosen each year by the members.
How many Bowlers does it take to put up our Specsaver's banner? One of our lovely sponsors.
