Aim
Lifting for change: raising funds to help women and children affected by domestic abuse access safety, support and hope.
Every year, countless women and children endure the silent pain of domestic abuse, trapped in situations that threaten their safety and dignity. I am part of a dedicated team preparing to take on the Lift for Change challenge on 30 July 2026 at Woolwich Waves Leisure Centre, in partnership with GLL and the HER Centre. This unique weightlifting event is more than a test of strength - it is a powerful symbol of resilience and hope.
Domestic abuse leaves deep scars, but with your support, we can help survivors find their way to safety and rebuild their lives. The HER Centre provides vital specialist support, advocacy, wellbeing services, and practical assistance that transform lives every day. These services are not just helpful - they are essential lifelines that empower women and children to escape fear and reclaim their independence.
