Five brave Just Stop Oil climate activists glued themselves to The Last Supper and now your need help with court costs and fines

“It is easier to contend with evil at the first than at the last. ” Leonardo da Vinci

On July 5th 2022 5 activists, Lucy Porter, Jessica Agar, Simon Bramwell, Caspat Hughes and Tristan Strange took peaceful action by gluing themselves to the frame of the 500 year old copy of Leonardo da Vinci's last supper, painted by his students.
They were subsequently removed, arrested and charged.

15 days later the hottest day on record was recorded in the UK, with temperatures reaching 40.3 degrees. As a result London fire brigade said they had had their busiest day since the blitz of the world war two, tackling hundreds of fires across London alone.

On February 8 2023 these 5 courageous activists were found guilty for acting according to the hard science and their consciences and ordered to pay court costs and fines of £486 each. They have also each incurred around £100 expenses.

Taking action of this sort is often a thankless, demanding and costly path and we are asking those who cannot take action themselves to help those who do. Even the price of a cup of tea will help.

Please give whatever you can to those doing their best.

“Human subtlety will never devise an invention more beautiful, more simple or more direct than does nature because in her inventions nothing is lacking, and nothing is superfluous.” Leonardo da Vinci
