Hello! Thank you for showing interest in my cause. My name is Demi and I aim to support Samir and his family through the enforced genocide
Samir is a great young man.
At the age 28 he was forced in the unfortunate position of forced displacement from his owned home to a tent, and from dignified living conditions brought by by his passion for professional plumbing...to famine and extreme pricing of basic products towards their mere survival.
An example is 1 bag of 25kg of flour costing 270 USD.
When their house was bombed he business was shut down as his father was sadly killed from the explosion, and the collapse of the building displaced him, his little brother, 2 little sisters and their mother to homelessness.
This, other than forcing them in deep bereavement and grievance, also instantly made him responsible to supporting their mother in caring for his 3 little siblings.
Soon after the loss of his father, Samir lost his best friend as well, his little brother was heavily injured by shellings, and just after these heartbreaking events a close friend of his was killed while walking on the beautiful streets of Nuseirat camp when a building next to him got bombed, all by IDF.
When their tent was ripped from surrounding shelling, he ensured to purchase an awning and instal it, to keep them safe as can be from the upcoming tropical storms.
Despite all the pain and misfortune imposed on him by unethical crimes to his nation and his loved ones, Samir is bravely stepping up to his responsibilities on a daily basis.
Buying and transporting essentials on foot from the city centre (usually wooden pallets and mite-infested flour sold for gold), making the fire, helping his mother cook and bake and emotionally supporting his family, encampment neighbours and loved ones.
He does any and all of this and more with limitless love and devotion, while keeping beyond kind and grateful to all those who help them out at this dire time for his entire family.
He is also choosing to care and support friends, loved ones and stray animals in need in his area.
An example is the tremendous bereavement support he generously provided to the family of his friend who was recently killed.
He treats all the children in his displacement camp with love and respect and gets them rewards in the form of sweeties for their excellent behaviour.
He also paused his personal fundraising to successfully support a friend of his who fell ill. Samir personally raised funds for them after their fundraiser was closed down by a well known American fundraising platform, and all donations refunded to donors.
Soon after, his personal fundraising page was closed down by the same platform in the same way, leaving him beyond devastated about his current circumstances.
He also uses their extremely limited funds to feed the local strays in their encampment.
If you decide to be one of the people who help out Samir and his family -either by donating or spreading the word- please accept my eternal gratitude too, for your mindfulness and solidarity 🙏🏼
Stay blessed, friends.
