Aim

Rights in Russia is a UK charity publicising the work of Russia's courageous human rights defenders since 2010. https://rightsinrussia.org

At Rights in Russia we publish translations into English of texts by Russia's human rights defenders about their work and the human rights situation in Russia. We also create podcasts and videos in both English and Russian about human rights in Russia and publish reviews of books on the topic and context.

These days human rights defenders are under enormous pressure in Russia. At the same time, the human rights situation is deteriorating rapidly as the authorities clamp down on any dissent against the war. In these circumstances it is more important than ever that the voices of those who stand up for human rights in Russia, and those who oppose the Russian regime's illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine, should be heard. Rights in Russia works to bring the voices of Russia's human rights community directly to a global audience.
