Living Well services aim to support patients with life-limiting illnesses to manage its impact on their lives positively.
As the only adult Hospice in the area, our Hospice is extremely valuable to the community. We serve a population of approximately 300,000 people across North Hampshire and as a charity, our care is accessible to our patients and their families free of charge. Our care includes a holistic range of services and one of the many services we offer is our Living Well Services.
The Living Well services at the hospice aim to support our patients living with life-limiting illnesses to positively manage the impact of their illness in their lives and that of their loved ones. Similar to our other services, our Living Well Services are also open to our local community and available without any charges or fees. They can be easily accessed by people of North Hampshire living with life-limiting illnesses either by self-referral or referral by their GP or local hospital.
Within Living Well Services, we offer a wide range of support and holistic activities for our patients which are aimed to support their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. The activities and support provided are pilates, arts and crafts, and Stories for Life service (wherein people record life stories and memories on audio and leave their voice as a treasured legacy for families and friends). Our Living well services aim to:
It costs us over £445.00 to deliver a day’s worth of services at the Living Well Centre but with rising energy costs for heating and lighting in the centre, these costs are due to rise significantly. As a hospice, our top priority is to support and provide people with the care and support they need and require, especially in their tough times. Your kind donations will enable us to hold these important out-patient sessions without the additional worry of the energy costs associated. We are hopeful that you will support us to make our services accessible to our community members.
