Celebrating Gary's life; raising funds for Gary's funeral.
Update 14.08.26 - we now have a date for Gary's send off at the end of August. Pami is going to have to borrow the money to cover the funeral expenses, as she needs it before the crowdfunder money will arrive, but she will need this money to pay back those loans. We're about to hit £3000! This is amazing. Every pound has helped get this far. Let's keep going. Let's try and get to £4000.
Update 08.08.26 - Despite Pami's difficult financial situation, she has decided she'd like to use this money to put towards Gary's celebration of life. She has been given various quotes, but £4000 would cover the costs comfortably. Let's see if we can get anywhere near that. Every little helps, so please keep sharing this crowdfunder.

Update. 04.08.26 - Sadly, Gary passed away last night. I will keep this fundraiser open as long as possible, as Pami now faces a future without her beloved Gary. Let's keep sharing and donating to honour Gary and help Pami navigate her new reality without having to immediately think about money.
If you've ever spent time in the local music scene, there's a good chance you've crossed paths with Gary.

For years, Gary has been one of those people who quietly gives his time, talent and heart to others. He's organised and hosted open mic nights, supported countless musicians including me, played at charity events to raise money for people in need, and has always been willing to step up whenever someone asked for help. I know that personally. Gary played guitar on my album and has always been there whenever I've needed a musician, never expecting anything in return.
When I heard about Gary's cancer diagnosis, my first thought was simply, "Not Gary."
My second thought was, "How are Gary and Pami going to manage financially?"
As someone who worries about money more than I'd like to admit, I know how frightening it would be to become seriously ill and lose the ability to work. The emotional burden is enormous without the added stress of wondering how the bills will be paid.
Gary has been the long-haired Liverpudlian standing behind me for many years, and has been selfless with his support for my music. I've been lucky enough to be in two bands with Gary, and I'm so devastated to know that will never happen again.

Gary has spent years helping other people. Now it's our turn to help him.
This fundraiser is to give Gary and Pami a little financial breathing space so they can focus on what really matters, without quite so much pressure from everyday expenses.
If Gary's music has ever made you smile, if he's ever encouraged you, played at an event, supported your charity, given you a chance to perform, or simply been a kind and generous presence in your life, I hope you'll consider giving whatever you can.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a genuine difference. And if you're not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for helping us give something back to someone who has spent so many years giving to everyone else.
