Supporting Care Experienced Young People to Thrive

Aim

To raise funds so care leavers can access fun, positive activities that build confidence, wellbeing, and lasting memories.

We’re raising money to give care leavers the chance to enjoy fun, positive, and meaningful experiences that many young people take for granted.

On 23rd July, our dedicated staff and young people will be taking on a sponsored walk up The Wrekin in Telford to raise funds that will go directly towards creating opportunities for care leavers to build confidence, make memories, and feel connected.

For many care leavers, life can be challenging and isolating after leaving care. These activities aren’t just “nice extras” – they play a vital role in supporting emotional wellbeing, independence, and a sense of belonging.

💛 What your support will help fund:

• 🎢 Theme park trips and days out
• 🎳 Bowling, cinema and social evenings
• 🌳 Outdoor adventures such as hiking, camping, and activity centres
• 🎨 Creative workshops (art, music, photography)
• 🏋️‍♂️ Sports and fitness activities
• 🍳 Life skills sessions like cooking and budgeting
• 🎄 Seasonal events and celebrations (e.g. Christmas activities)
• 🚉 Travel experiences to explore new places

These experiences help young people:

• Build positive relationships
• Gain confidence and independence
• Create lasting memories
• Enjoy being young and having fun

🥾 Our Challenge

Climbing The Wrekin is no small task – but it’s nothing compared to the challenges our young people overcome daily. Together, we’re stepping up to support them in building brighter futures.

🌱 Looking Ahead

This is just the start — our young people will also be planning and taking part in a range of fundraising activities throughout the year to help grow this fund even further and support even more opportunities for themselves and others. These events will empower them to take ownership, build skills, and give back.
