Daisy Hill Football Club have been a major part of our local community since 1894.
Over the years, we've seen countless visitors, hundreds of players and many wonderful staff & volunteers pass through our turnstile at New Sirs, and we feel extremely fortunate to have been able to create such a supportive football family at DHFC. It is the community we've been able to create around our Football Club that has kept us going for over 100 years. As a club, we have always strived to provide a friendly, welcoming environment to the local community and beyond. It is our wish that we can continue this for another 100 years, and many more after that.
Like many grassroots football clubs, we rely on match day income to keep things running. With the current pandemic, and essential & major building repairs and renovations needed to keep the club standing, these are very testing times for Daisy Hill FC. We are in urgent need of major repair work to our clubhouse roof, flooring and ground safety and security measures. In ordinary circumstances, we would still need to fundraise in order to cover these costs but with the added loss of match day income the cost of this work threatens the clubs survival.
The loss of our football club would not only be a loss of community history, but also of facilities for many young people and adults across the area. This could have a detrimental effect on health & well-being, both physically and mentally, for many people.
So we are reaching out to our football family, our local community, past & present players, managers, committee members, volunteers, football fans and grassroots supporters. We need your help to keep our club alive! Whether you've visited us at New Sirs, followed our journey on Facebook/Twitter or supported us from afar, any help and support would be greatly appreciated.
Any & all donations and contributions will be used to help rebuild and maintain our club, and whether big or small we will be forever grateful.
