Aim: To record Continuum’s debut choral album - celebrating Britain’s choral legacy and inspiring the next generation of choral voices.

Continuum: Our Project

Inspiring Generations is the title of our debut album — a celebration of 150 years of British choral music, bringing together the powerful legacies of composers Sir Hubert Parry, Herbert Howells, and Ivor Gurney, alongside bold new music by composers inspired by them.

The album journeys through the stillness and complexity of Parry’s Songs of Farewell, the intimacy of Howells’ Even Such is Time, and Gurney’s recently republished Since I Believe in God the Father. Alongside these are premieres of new works — contemporary responses that reimagine familiar sounds for a changing world.

Inspiring Generations is more than Continuum’s debut album — it’s our launchpad: a defining calling card to help us secure a recording contract and place us firmly on the professional choral map.

Continuum: Shaping the Next Generation of Choral Music

Continuum began in 2018 with a group of singers who shared a deep love of choral music and a belief in its future. Like many, we were silenced during the pandemic. Since then, we’ve grown — shaped by experience, fuelled by collaboration, and building a sound that reflects who we are and where we’re going.

Recording an album is an exciting but expensive process, and it’s standard for artists to self-fund their debut recordings. Record labels rarely finance projects from artists who aren’t already well established. So, we’re backing ourselves – and we’re inviting you to back us too.
