Aston Ingham Bowls Club was established 40 years ago by volunteer members and has a self built green and club house. Our facilities and green are all maintained by our members.

We are active throughout the year with both Lawn Bowls and Short Mat indoor bowls and this ensures a sport that can be enjoyed whatever the season.

Our membership continues to grow to just under 60 members from 36 two years ago. Again willing volunteers  keep the club an excellent sporting and social venue.

We  welcome all abilities encouraging senior members to keep active. The club offers friendly games plus  competitive in house challenges and  league opportunities.  .

On the borders of Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, we attract members from both counties and have started to offer, activities to local community groups.  We are soon to welcome a group from Newent runners

Many hands make light work!

Our members working hard to improve and reseed the green ready for the winter.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Funds are needed to build a much needed car park to accommodate our growing membership and transport  access for community groups. The drive needs resurfacing and the front entrance made good with secure lighting. Our willing club volunteers are doing a wonderful maintenance job but we are now at a stage where professional help and investment is needed.

In addition the green needs vital improvements and the surrounding viewing area made safe.

Inside, it is planned to make the club house a more inviting space for members and visitors, with  insulated windows and blinds plus levelling the floor to upgrade the indoor bowling facility

For all visitors with walking difficulties we need to invest in ramps and access means, plus purchase of equipment to help bowlers of all abilities

Community impact

We should be delighted if you would play a part in our planned funding of Aston Ingham Bowls Club Development. Our players, willingly volunteer to keep our club and grounds in good working order, but we have reached a time when very definite investment is needed for its upkeep and future. We need you to send us on our way.

1) Make a pledge and be part of our future. Don't be shy, even a little helps and we need 25 supporters to apply for extra grants.

2) Get involved and spread the word. The more friends, family and  community are aware of our quest, the more likely we are to be successful. Time is of the essence, this campaign will run for just 12 weeks.

3) We need our local trades and businesses to know of our Crowdfunder. Please visit your local favourite venues and ask if they would be willing to help by way of  rewards or pledges. All support will be acknowledged.

4) If you have any other ideas, perhaps a sponsored activity? However simple please just get involved . It will all help to raise our profile and  our financial target,

Our AIM is to  reach that target of £8K and invite more investment!

Quote :-  as the new Chairperson of AIBC I am delighted to be involved with a thriving club in a beautiful setting.  I am looking forward to leading the Club Into the future.
