Having recently taken over the great William IV pub and been through months of refurbishment and hard work to put the pub back to some of its former glory our efforts have been put to a halt because of the current pandemic.

We have temporarily closed the doors to our beloved pub as well as the guesthouse and are devastated that we will not be welcoming you in the near future.

New businesses like ours are finding it almost impossible to secure BBLS or CBILS and are falling through the cracks of the government help that was announced for the hospitality industry.

We are turning to you for help in these turbulent times, so we are introducing the William IV pay it forward vouchers. These are to be used once we are open again, to be redeemed against future meals, drinks or a good night of sleep.

If there is 3 things we can do well at the WIV is to organise events and parties, serve a good meal and get you a comfortable bed.

Surely most of you would have something to celebrate in the coming months, babies, wedding, engagement, birthday or even divorce parties.

It would help us to meet our financial commitments over the coming months and re-open again once this nasty business is over.
