Aim

Join us in creating The Queer Post – an inclusive, design-led hub blending work, dining, and culture for Brighton’s LGBTQ+ community.

🏳️‍🌈 Our Story

I’m Jessie (they/them), a queer founder based in Brighton. Like so many LGBTQ+ creatives, I’ve worked in spaces where we were welcomed, but never truly centred. I wanted to create a space built for us — where our ideas thrive, our culture shines, and our community feels celebrated every single day.

Together with my co-founder, Annie Embers (she/her), we created The Queer Post — a bold, design-led hub where work, dining, and culture meet. Annie leads operations and business strategy, ensuring that our vision is grounded, scalable, and executed with precision.

The Queer Post is more than a venue. It’s a movement, a cultural statement, and a blueprint for the future of queer-led businesses.

👥 The Team & Advisory Board

We are a grassroots team of queer creatives, hospitality innovators, and community organisers:

  • Jessie Archer (they/them) – Co-Founder & Creative/Executive Lead, driving brand, partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Annie Embers (she/her) – Co-Founder & Operations/Business Lead, overseeing delivery, scaling, and inclusive team growth.

We’re supported by an incredible advisory board, including:

  • Abi Martin-Hill, founder of Nonchalant Magazine – Media & PR Advisor, amplifying queer visibility and storytelling.
  • Samantha Moyo, cultural innovator and founder of Morning Gloryville – Community Advisor, guiding inclusive, transformational experiences.

🏗 Design Collaborators

Our flagship venue is being shaped by some of the UK’s most visionary designers:

  • Caroline & Emily (Stickland Wright) – Leading architectural design with award-winning creativity and accessibility at the core.
  • Julian (Faction Interiors) – Crafting interiors that reflect the bold, chic, and inclusive ethos of The Queer Post.

Together, we’re building a team deeply rooted in queer culture, hospitality, and innovation.

🌟 The Vision

The Queer Post will be Brighton’s first queer-led coworking café and premium restaurant, open 7 days a week to members and the public.

  • By day, a vibrant coworking café where LGBTQ+ freelancers, creatives, and entrepreneurs connect.
  • By night, an elevated restaurant-bar and cultural venue hosting performances, panels, and workshops.

This design-led space will set a new standard for queer innovation, creating a model that’s scalable, sustainable, and unapologetically future-facing.

This crowdfunder is part of our first round of funding, helping us secure and complete the build of our flagship venue in Brighton — the first step towards a scalable, future-facing model for queer innovation.

🔥 Why It Matters

This is more than a café or coworking space — it’s infrastructure for a movement. A place where queer people — especially trans, non-binary, and POC creatives — can build businesses, create culture, and feel completely at home.

We’re not building a pop-up. We’re building a future — powered by pride, purpose, and people.

Support The Queer Post. Help us make queer history — and a damn good coffee — every day.
