The Cause

The Polish Saturday School in Manchester was set up in 1949 to teach Polish language, history, culture and tradition to children and young people of Polish origin and since 2015 has operated as a registered charity, charity number 1160848

Since the founding of the school, our mission has been to educate students in such a way that they would be proud of their origin and they would also become ambassadors of Polish culture and rich Polish tradition in their adult life, wherever they live.

The heart of our organization is the Polish community in Greater Manchester. From the very beginning it was driven by positive energy and hard work of a large number of volunteers - Polish women and Poles living in Great Britain, who shared a passion for Polish culture, tradition and history. Without our volunteers - teachers, assistants, employees, trustees - as well as students' families who devote their time to help at school, the school would not exist. The school exists because of them and it is for them. That is why we try to keep it as open as possible in the Polish community in Manchester and financially accessible. And that's where we need your help!

Support the school and become part of our many years of history!
