Mission: To disrupt Big Dairy by making the world a better place for dairy cows!
Briefest history
I'm Fiona Provan, founder of The Calf at Foot Dairy, the pioneering micro-dairy which triggered a cruelty free dairy revolution. For 10 years we produced milk with compassion because we allow our milking cows to keep their beloved calves. It's been a long old slog as a 'Landless Keeper' going against conventional farming and vegans alike, but finally my methods are being practiced in several dairies worldwide.
Please go to our website www.TheCalfAtFootDairy.co.uk to find out about my story and the history of CAFD
Now
Having to relocate the CAFD herd across the country the past few years have been tough and now without sufficient facilities or a team in place to continue with milk sales Fiona has retired from this side of the business and runs the herd as a non-profit training scheme for the Calf at Foot Dairy movement, providing support and practical advice to anyone who wants learn how to run a dairy whilst the cows can keep their own calves or 'milk sharing'.

The Future
We hope to provide teaching here at the home of CAFD with cow handling sessions, workshops and dairy hygiene training, giving us the opportunity to share our knowledge and experience helping others get their high welfare milk to market. Until such developments
This is where you come in...
Every pledge received through our crowdfunder page helps to further the Calf at Foot Dairy cause - through Fiona's tireless campaigning, free advice, public education and concessionary training sessions for those in financial difficulty.
Please can you help us?
We are truly grateful for any support received. Please spread the word, share our story and the Crowdfunder link and ask people to pass it on even if they can't make a pledge themselves.
Looking to buy cruelty-free milk from the farm gate?
Our original Dairy Angel Amy George has opened her own micro-dairy @BlundestoneHouseFarm in Lowestoft, Suffolk. There is also the most incredible Rare Dairy in Shropshire, which I would say is the best of the best.
