Support teen parents in Essex

Aim

Teen parents deserve support, not stigma. Big Love Essex is here to provide safe spaces, skills & friendship for young mums & dads.

As a teen parents myself I struggled with the stigma around it. I never wanted to visit mother and baby groups through fear of being judged. I want to help other teen parents find their feet and not feel so isolated within the community. 

At Big Love Essex, our mission is simple but powerful:

💜 To provide support, guidance, and education to teenage parents so they can build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Every day, young parents face challenges that can feel overwhelming – from housing and financial struggles, to accessing education, childcare, and emotional support. Too often, they feel judged, isolated, or forgotten.

That’s where Big Love Essex steps in.

We offer:

✨ A safe space where teenage parents feel welcomed, not judged.

✨ Practical help with housing, benefits, careers advice, and college applications.

✨ Paediatric first aid training – because safety and confidence matter.

✨ Cooking and nutrition classes – helping families eat healthily on a budget.

✨ Craft and wellbeing workshops – supporting mental health and self-care.

✨ Weekly meet-ups and drop-in sessions – building friendships and peer support networks.

 Our Aim:

To create a nurturing community where teenage parents are empowered, educated, and supported, giving both them and their children the best possible start in life. But we can’t do it alone. 💜

Your donation will help us:

✔️ Secure safe spaces for meetings and workshops

✔️ Provide free training courses and practical support

✔️ Fund resources, materials, and essential running costs

✔️ Reach more young parents across Essex and Thurrock
