Hi! My name is Jules. I am the creator and host of the platform TeaTalk Conversations.
Since it's creation, TeaTalk Conversations has been independently run by myself with no team behind me. Since the platform doesn't generate any money, it's reliant on funding and a very small budget from my own personal savings.
As we wrap up this year, I'm discovering that I cannot fund TeaTalk Conversations anymore in the same way. TeaTalk Conversations cannot raise the voices and perspectives I set out for it to do, without help.
There are always conversations about our mental health and psyche that crop up in that we’re desperate to discuss and be better recognised in society. Ones that stimulate genuine curiosity and excitement, or perhaps those that generate anxiety or fear.
We want to discuss them, learn more about ourselves and teach others, but we aren’t always in the right place, with the right people to engage in a meaningful, safe and openly honest conversation.
TeaTalk Conversations has the aim to change that. To create a safe, open space where all mental health conditions are respected, acknowledged and perceived without societal stigma or bias.
This project has already received an immense amount of support from therapists, those with lived experience, activists and general audience members alike and I am determined to keep it alive.
In order to keep TeaTalk Conversations going, the project needs:
- Funds to maintain the website.
- To have sufficient editing tools for podcast recordings.
- Source reasonable podcast equipment, such as a new mic.
- A small budget for promotional goals, such as, social media adverts and physical flyers/posters.
I would greatly appreciate any help you can give, even just by sharing this page, following the TeaTalk social media and spreading the word!
