Keep the Magic at Studio J Star alive!

Aim

To secure our current Studio J Star home and help create future opportunities for local children in Prestwich to access the performing arts.

Hello! I’m Jaynie, the founder of Studio J Star, a performing arts academy built on confidence, creativity and community.

For over a decade, our studio has been a second home for hundreds of children. A place where shy little stars find their voices, friendships blossom and dreams begin to take shape.

Now, we need your help to keep that magic alive.

Our current lease is up for renewal in November, and we’ve been told we need to raise £5,000 by 6th November to secure our studio home, keep its doors open and ensure that the children of Prestwich and the surrounding areas continue to have a safe, inspiring space to grow, perform and belong.

Over the past twelve years in this building, Studio J Star has become known as a legacy of Prestwich. Almost every child in the area has danced, sung or laughed within these walls at some point in their journey. This studio is more than a building; it’s a part of our town’s story.

Like many small community studios, rising costs have made this a challenging few years, but we’re determined to protect this space for the children who call it home.

🎯 Why We’re Raising £10,000

Our total goal is £10,000:

• £5,000 to secure our lease and studio home
• £5,000 to improve our services, equipment, training, and resources, so every child continues to receive the highest standard of performing arts education.

This second half will also support the launch of a brand new community charity, helping us offer free and subsidised classes, workshops, and programmes to local children and families who need it most.

It’s about giving the next generation of young performers a place to feel safe, seen, supported and to shine.
