Aim
We’re on a mission to raise £7,100 to fund equipment and coaching fees for free sports activities at our newly refurbished Community Room!
Who we are:
SPID stands for Social Progressive Interconnected Diverse. We recently completed an awesome refurbishment of Kensal House Estate Community Rooms close to Grenfell. As we celebrate 20 years of SPID at Kensal, seeing the lift and corridor and beautiful restoration makes us proud.
What we do:
SPID makes high quality youth theatre on council estates. Since 2005, we have made award winning art that advocates housing justice. We challenge the stereotypes around council estates and celebrate their history.
Why we are crowdfunding:
Due to lockdown, Brexit and landlord negligence, our recent £3.4m refurbishment cost far more than planned. It’s been a massive challenge to keep delivering free programs and equip the space. So we need to raise funds to equip our free sports activities program. Every pound will be matched by Sport England if we hit £7100 within 10 weeks. This is your chance to give back and improve the future for young people at risk of landlord negligence, rent poverty and homelessness.
