Sasha Skochilenko is a Russian artist, activist and musician. She is a fighter for LGBTQ+ and women's rights, she also tries to shed light on the problems of people with mental disorders. Her art challenges norms and inspires reflection. Her bravery in speaking out against the Russian invasion of Ukraine resulted in fines and imprisonment, but she remains undeterred, turning her emotions into her art.
Exhibition of Sasha’s works organised by the Russian Democratic Society in London, together with Sasha's girlfriend Sonia and her mother Nadezhda, showcases the power of Skochilenko's art to inspire us all to reflect on our beliefs and values, and the importance of standing up for what we believe in. The exhibition will be on display for the whole month of April at Koppel Station Project in London at 56 Downshire Hill London NW3 1PA.
Our team is happy to accept donations that will go towards paying Sasha’s medical needs and her lawyer.
