Aim
Fundraising goal:To cover evacuation, shelter, and daily survival needs (food, water, and medical care) for my family of six.
My name is Salem Al-Taramsi ,I am writing this letter to people around the world who watch us daily on news channels. This is the reality of the disaster that has befallen the people of Gaza.
I am 40 years old, and my family consists of six members. We are living in Gaza under constant danger.
Since October 7, our lives have been catastrophic. We have lost our home, our jobs, and many of our family members. I am originally from Rafah. At the beginning of the war, we received evacuation orders from the Israeli army, forcing us to leave our home without taking even our basic belongings. We fled to Deir al-Balah and lived in a tent. A few days later, we learned that our house and shop had been bombed. We lost everything.
We now live in a small camp with around 500 people, facing severe shortages of food and water. Due to heavy shelling, we have not received enough assistance. While moving through dangerous routes from Khan Yunis, we witnessed shelling and bodies in the streets with our own eyes.
We are now in Al-Mawasi, where nearly two million people are crowded into extremely difficult conditions with a severe lack of basic facilities. We struggle daily without proper access to food, clean water, healthcare, or medicine. My children are sick بسبب contaminated water, with garbage and insects everywhere. Diarrheal diseases are widespread, especially among children.
Every day, we wake up to news that relatives and friends have been killed. We are living in fear, counting our days. There is no safe place in Gaza.
We are urgently seeking any possible assistance. Donations of any size can be life-saving.
How the funds will be used:
1. Evacuation:
We need $5,000 per person to cross the border and leave Gaza. Our goal is to save our lives and protect our family from further loss. These funds will also help us begin a new life in safety.
2. Survival and Rebuilding:
Funds will also support our daily survival needs, including shelter, food, water, and medical care. If a permanent ceasefire is reached, we will use the support to rebuild our home and livelihood.
