As the bombing continues and a ground invasion has started, more families are losing...
Financial help for Syrian and Palestinian refugee families in Lebanon who have lost their homes yet again, to get them through this crisis.
In the past week, indiscriminate Israeli bombing across Lebanon has forced nearly all the 60 refugee families that Makani supports to leave their homes yet again. Last night many slept on the seafront or in stadiums in search of somewhere safe.
The street where our centre is located was directly hit. Thankfully all our community are as yet unharmed, but as our embroidery artisan Nadia says:
‘We are very terrified. Where could we flee to! We go to sleep thinking this night would be our last. What terrifies me the most is the safety of my children. They are vey small. We fled the war in Syria and now we are living the same horror.’
If we can raise £50 per family this can help them buy blankets and food, water and medicines, to keep them going through this crisis.
100% of funds raised will go to support the 60 women, who have 190 children collectively, that we work with. Any additional funds raised will be used to help other families in Lebanon who have lost their homes.
