Help fund the completion of the retraining and rehoming of 29 ex-racehorses.

On the 24th May 2023 we'd raised £8,002 with 44 supporters in 21 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we're lucky enough to reach our target for two months of feed, hay and bedding, then we would stretch our goal to four months of these costs.
Racehorse Relief is the largest and only accredited racehorse rehabilitation centre in the south-west. Established in 2011, we have rehabilitated, retrained and rehomed dozens of ex-racehorses.
Horses often leave racing at a young age with 20 years ahead of them. We believe in retraining these beautiful animals for a second career. We assess their abilities, and then, after some caring rehabilitation, we retrain them for eventing, dressage, showjumping, or simply to be happy-hackers.
Our supporters are a crucial part of aiding our work. With no government funding, we rely on limited industry support, rehoming fees and public donations. In order to allow us to work towards this important cause, helping former racehorses have meaningful and secure futures, it is critical for us to gain public support.
We currently have 28 residents. The feed, hay and bedding for these thoroughbreds costs £4,000 per month. We are looking to raise funds for two months with a stretch goal of a further two months.
Eight year old daisy (above) has some behavioural issues which were caused by stomach ulcers, this made her very sore and grumpy. The ulcers have been cleared up (this process takes about six months), now we have to build her trust in humans again in order to find her a forever home. This can take some time but she is responding well.
By supporting our campaign, you will be helping Daisy and friends complete their retraining and find their forever homes.
We are so grateful for the large amount of support we have received from organisations and individuals helping us in the form of supplying rewards. Thankyou to everyone who has generously given their time or items to the cause.
We ask that when claiming a reward you consider adding an additional donation at the checkout - this will be vital in reaching our goal and continuing our work.
