New stretch target
Firstly, thank you to all our supporters that helped us reach our first target!
We've set a modest target to help us cover some of our costs. It turns out it's quite costly to not put on a festival! Please help if you can and you also get the chance of getting some pretty special merchandise out of it too.
We’re having to postpone our lovely festival until next year. Boo! We’ve been hanging on for as long as possible, hoping that the whole pandemic situation might improve, but it’s not looking good. And we’ve just hit crunch point where we need to start paying out even more in festival infrastructure costs, and we’ve lost enough money already, we can’t risk paying out more now. So, we have to cut our losses and move it all to next year.
We’ve been looking into options for trying to run a socially distant festival if the government were to allow it, but Purbeck is so much more than just sitting watching a stage, and anything we’ve come up with is so far removed from our lovely little festival that it wouldn’t be something that I would be happy going to, let alone being responsible for!
Obviously, we’ve had a lot of costs this year already - advertising, and residual costs of websites, accountants, etc…
A few of you have been in touch already asking how you can help us to survive as a small non profit making company and whether you can donate and help us to stay afloat. Which is amazing - thanks to all of you who have been in touch so far offering. It’s so nice to have such a supportive festival family - Purbeck festival goers are a special lot! We’ve set up this crowdfunder so you can help us.
I’ve had other people get in touch worried that they’ll have a gap in there PVFF t-shirt or pint cup collection! So we’ve designed some extra special Purbeck merchandise for this year. We have t-shirts, hoodies, badges, stickers, original linocut prints, and loads more. Please take a look at the rewards. For those of you who wish to, you can donate your whole ticket price for this year, become a Purbeck hero, or you can support us by buying a £2 raffle ticket where you'll be in with a chance to win a VIP package for next year (including tickets, glamping, a drinks package, and your faces in the programme if you wish!).
