Williamson Art Gallery & Museum is proud to host regular drop-in family workshops on Saturdays, which are a fun and interactive way for children and young people to get involved in art and creativity. The benefits of engagement in art and creative activity on the development and wellbeing of children and young people are well documented, and at the Williamson we believe that every child on Wirral should have access to these opportunities. These workshops have always been free to all at the point of access, supported by fundraising and donations.
The Williamson has been closed since March 2020 due to Covid-19, but is now preparing to reopen. Restarting the family workshops is fundamental to our aim of being the gallery for the whole Wirral community - but we need your support.
Your donations will allow us to provide a professional artist to lead 30 workshops throughout the year, and the resources required for the wide range of activities offered.
Donations over our initial target of £10,000 will contribute to match funding to allow us to run our summer programme in 2022.
