A Plea for Help from Gaza
My name is Omar Osama, and I am writing to you from Gaza, where my family and I have been living through unimaginable hardship. The ongoing war has taken everything from us.
Our home was destroyed in a bombing, leaving us with nothing. Overnight, we became homeless. Since then, we have been living in a tent, forced to move from one place to another in search of safety. There is no secure place to go, and every day is a struggle to survive.
We face constant shortages of food, clean water, medicine, and other basic necessities. Even simple things such as mattresses, blankets, cooking supplies, and hygiene products have become difficult to find. Every day brings new uncertainty, fear, and exhaustion.
Before the war, I was a university student with a dream of becoming an engineer. I hoped to build a better future for myself and my family. Today, those dreams have been put on hold as survival has become our only priority.
We have narrowly escaped death more than once. We have lost relatives, friends, and neighbors to the violence. The fear never leaves us—we live with it every minute of every day, never knowing what tomorrow will bring.
Today, I am asking for your compassion and support. Any contribution, no matter how small, can help provide my family with food, clean water, medicine, shelter, and the basic necessities we need to survive with dignity.
