Building a national digital hub for 0–5s music leaders: better support for leaders, better music for children, better outcomes for families.
The Family Music Hub is a not-for-profit CIC founded to support all those who bring music to 0–5s and their families. Our directors, Katie, Rosie and Nicola, have extensive experience in early childhood family music work and training. They are passionate about providing high quality musical experiences for every child and their parents and carers.
All children are born musical and every child has the right to music: to experience and engage with it fully. More than that, music with 0-5s has the power to strengthen attachment, support wellbeing, nurture creativity and enrich learning — but the workforce delivering it often lacks sector-specific support. Our vision is to create a trusted online home for this community: a place where leaders can learn, connect, and find new inspiration.
Money raised here will help us launch our new online hub - a space where everyone making music with 0-5's and their families across the UK can find support, resources, learning, and a space to connect with others through an online platform. Launching in January 2026, members will gain access to exclusive Family Music Hub content including songs and recordings, live virtual events, guest speakers, self-paced learning, and space to connect with others through a forum.
Your donations will cover platform set-up costs, creation of content and resources, fees for running costs and guest speakers. Most importantly, it will allow The Family Music Hub to test the model, gather feedback and ultimately refine and grow the platform. At a time when funding for the arts is more uncertain than ever, this crowdfunder will help sustain The Family Music Hub through the coming 3 months, giving us the stability to keep supporting leaders and families nationwide.
With your support, we can build the foundations of a sustainable national resource — improving skills and reducing isolation for leaders, enriching experiences for families, and helping young children thrive through music.
