Aim
Support Mere Carnival
Mere Carnival needs your support. Last year, with the depleted Committee, it was not considered possible to put on Mere Carnival. This year, with a very small but enthusiastic band of new residents to the town, we intend to give you a Carnival BUT we need your help urgently.
With only £1,000 in the bank at present, we need to raise at least £3,000 to pay for the necessary licences, first aid, barriers, signs, advertising and printing. These monies are not required to build a float, they are needed solely for the administration of the whole Mere Carnival. This Carnival has been running for nearly 100 years - please give generously and help it continue for future generations to enjoy.
