Please support me in becoming a womb healer for the women and girls in my community.

Hello, 👋

Firstly let me just tell you how truly anxious it makes me to put myself out here but here I am.

So let me introduce myself ...

I'm Laurie & I run a project called Of The Forest. This little project is an extension of myself and all that I love and focuses solely on serving the women & girls within my community. 

For almost 4 years I have been holding space for women, & now women & their daughters in various ways. In that time I have added a few  'strings to my bow' to allow my offerings to vary and to offer healings to as many as I can.

This has included women's circles, mother & daughter circles, sound healing, reiki & crystal healing & yoga nidra. 

We are now at a point where our community is really truly thriving and I feel like there has been a shift in the last 12 months. It is through this shift that I have heard the call to do womb work and I think it came through after the birth of my 4th child, my daughter Raven. 

Raven was born at home with only my friend, sister, husband & children there to witness it.

It has become the most empowering and life changing experience of my life. 

Postnatally I faced many womb issues & yoni issues. I feel that the unresolved trauma that has been stuck within my womb space for many years finally came forward and I have now seen the importance of doing this work. 

As a young girl I was taught very little about the sacredness of being a woman because that power was removed from the women in my blood line a long time ago. My bleeds were an inconvenience and not something we talked about. My first sexual experience and the ones that followed left me with a whole load of trauma. A miscarriage as a young woman and an emotionally & physically painful procedure never left me. Births that robbed me of power...

In my almost 4 years of holding space for women & girls I have witnessed first hand the longing for connection to ourselves, to our wombs, for healing & for liberation. 

I have sat with the feeling of being called to do this work for the best part of a year, trying to understand what I need to do and how I can bring this sort of healing to the women in my community. 

2 months ago on the arrival of my bleed, I had very clear visions in a dream...

Women, sat in community in a red lodge, sharing dreams, visions, wisdom. Within this space we were connected by a thread, almost like a web and we were all important, we all kept this connection, this web together. Within the middle of the circle of women was a womb. I interpreted this vision and dream as my calling to offer womb healing to the girls and women I sit with. 

I have searched for the right course to teach me the necessary skills to offer womb yoga, womb massage and womb healing and have now found a combination of courses that will teach me the necessary skills needed to  others. 

Can you imagine how empowering it would be to teach young girls to listen to their wombs from a young age, how liberating it would be to free ourselves as women from the trauma we hold within our womb spaces from abuse, pain, birth trauma...

I need to offer this!

Unfortunately I am unable to afford this training on my own & so I am leaning in and surrendering to the fear I hold around asking for money.

I'm asking the women in my community if they can keep our web connected and support me on this venture which in turn can support all of us.

I am grateful for the smallest of donations to allow me to embark on this journey..
