Aim: The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, including Love Open Water.
As a seasonal outdoor swimming enterprise Love Open Water sites are reliant on swimmer membership and attendance. Our business is active for a 6 month period of each year with profits needed to sustain the company for the full 12 months. This is why even one month of inactivity can be massively damaging.
The current coronavirus crisis means our venues are closed when we would ordinarily be flying into our main season along with launching two new venues and events for 2020. With no swim sessions available and memberships lapsing, we are losing income that is vital to maintaining the company.
We need your help to keep afloat during this storm. Renewing your £12 annual membership on time or purchasing your membership early if you are a new member will help, but if you have the means please consider donating more.
We're offering a range of rewards in return for your support; raffle give-aways, stacks of coaching credits, private hire for you and your swim tribe or if you're a business with a product to sell the option to advertise at our London Royal Docks pontoon.
The finances raised through membership and crowdfunding will go towards keeping Love Open Water going during the down time and helping us to support NOWCA partner venues around the UK that are also having to close during this time.
