Co-LAB will soon be homeless! We are being forced to move but with your support we can SAVE Co-LAB. Support Local - Support Co-LAB!
Since the beginning, Co-LAB has set out to provide a platform for local artists, providing them an opportunity to make a living from their work. More than just a shop, Co-LAB is a celebration of the creativity and individuality that Bristol has to offer. Proudly independent, we are a diamond in the rough corporate landscape that is Broadmead.
But now we are being forced to move, we need your support to help us SAVE Co-LAB! We just cannot afford the increasing cost of our existing shop and we have to relocate in January. Argghh....
The news was devastating for us, the idea of closing was too much, so we're acting quickly and looking for your support to make sure Co-LAB is here for the long-term. We know that many people will be shocked at this news, as many of our customers have grown very attached to our shop.
The great news is that we've found another shop. Whoop Whoop! Location to be announced soon!
Co-LAB is committed to supporting long-term unemployed young people to start a career in the arts, we offer work experience placements, paid internships and creative enterprise training, from advise sessions helping creatives to turn their talents into sellable products to hosting workshops, talks and networking events, to help young people to make contacts, gain industry knowledge and start a career in the creative sector.
The cost of taking a new lease, refitting a new shop and covering the cost of the move is more than we can afford alone. This is an all or nothing campaign, we need all your support so that we can continue to provide a unique shopping experience that supports local. After opening in 2012 as a pop-up shop that brought artists together, Co-LAB now supports over 150 local artists to make money from their artwork, through selling their locally made clothing, jewellery, art prints, gifts, stationary and cards.
What better way to launch the new shop, than to throw a party? With artists drawing on the night, free drinks and tunes from Co-LAB's Weekend Warm-Up DJ's, it will be a night of dancing, laughter and celebration of local talent. VIP invite only, so grab yourself a reward and invite a friend down for this one off, special event. Of course, there will be a first-hand chance to view the shiny new shop, huge range of locally made products and be giving huge discounts to all our wonderful supporters.
