About Us
We are an independent Coffee Shop who uses wide spectrum of brewing methods to serve an outstanding cup of coffee, tea & wellness lattes and are based in the bohemian neighborhood of Fitzrovia in Central London. We opened our coffee shop with a vision to serve a sustainable coffee cup. We drafted a model for our coffee bar by incorporating goals like buying local, direct sourcing, reclaim, recycle & paying living wages to promote sustainable and traceable brewing and also at the same time protecting our surroundings. We have slowly built our coffee shop by serving good coffee to our local community including the residents, people commuting for work and connoisseurs who strive to visit coffee shops with ethos and attention to detail required to make coffee.
COVID-19 Impact
When Lockdown was imposed in UK due to Covid-19, we had to close the coffee shop for 2.5 months. When we reopened for takeaway after 2.5 month, we had to reduce our shop opening hours by 40% to account for the reduction in footfall & minimize operational cost. We also removed all 16 covers from inside the coffee shop due to social distancing guidelines & support takeaway workflow model for the coffee Shop. We lost 60%-70% of our revenue since lockdown restrictions have been lifted due to low footfall of office workers & visitors in Central London.
We have however paid all our existing bills including rent while generating no revenue during lockdown closure and operating on reduced revenue since re-opening.
Future Plans
We need all the support we can get to keep the doors open. We are running this crowdfunding initiative to prepare for the slow winter months ahead and also to access the extra funding provided by Offie of Mayor of London post completion of this successful crowdfunding campaign.
