Help make Hilltop Park the best place to live
Hilltop Park is a fantastic place to live, but every thriving community needs residents who are informed, connected and able to work together.
That’s why we established the Hilltop Park Residents’ Association.
We’re a volunteer-led group working to improve communication, represent residents and prepare our community to play a greater role in the future management of the estate.
Already making a difference
In a relatively short time we’ve already delivered real benefits for residents.
We’ve worked with the Management Company, FirstPort, Wiltshire Council, developers and Housing Associations to improve communication, challenge decisions and represent residents’ interests. We’ve published newsletters, organised consultations and helped residents understand complex issues affecting our community.
We’ve also helped secure reductions in proposed estate costs, improvements to the MUGA, replacement of a defective path and closer scrutiny of flooding, drainage and planning obligations.
Most recently, sustained work by the Association, led in particular by one resident who pursued the issue in detail, helped secure Wessex Water refunds and ongoing bill reductions for eligible households.
That’s around £28 every year for each eligible property, around £14,000 staying in residents’ pockets every year across the estate, with refunds potentially going back up to six years.
Why we’re asking for your support
So far, a small number of residents and supporters have personally funded essential costs, including the register of members, printing, website development and independent advice supported by ResidentsFirst.
We’re now asking every household to contribute a small amount so the Association can be funded fairly and sustainably, rather than relying on a handful of volunteers.
What your donation will help us achieve
Your support will put the Residents’ Association in the strongest possible position to:
- continue challenging unfair or unreasonable estate charges;
- scrutinise budgets, service charges and maintenance standards;
- represent residents during discussions with FirstPort, developers, Housing Associations and Wiltshire Council;
- communicate regularly with every household through newsletters, meetings and consultations;
- prepare residents to take a greater role in managing the estate as opportunities arise.
Alongside this, donations will fund the practical things that make the Association possible, including our website, domain and email services, secure online voting, resident surveys, printing and community meetings.
If every household donated just £10, we’d raise almost £5,000.
That would provide the resources needed to continue protecting residents’ interests while preparing Hilltop Park for greater resident involvement in the years ahead.

We’ll publish every donation received, every expense, every platform fee, regular financial updates and an end-of-project summary.
Every penny will be used solely to support the published aims of the Residents’ Association.
