Aim
To provide practical support to welcome the Ukrainian families coming to live in Paul and Mousehole.
Several families in Paul and Mousehole will be welcoming Ukrainian families over the coming weeks. Once established, the Ukrainian adults will be able to work in the UK, however obviously they will need time to find their feet and find appropriate work. The money raised through this initiative will be used in the following ways:
1. To provide financial support to the families to travel to the UK and then Cornwall from where they are currently (e.g. Germany, Romania);
2. To purchase items such as the furniture and bedding that is needed to ensure the families are comfortable in their new homes;
3. To provide financial support to the Ukrainian families to purchase new clothing, including school uniform, and personal items for themselves. Also to allow them to take public transport etc. as they familiarise themselves with the local area and investigate job opportunities etc.
