Aim: Support for Emeka Okeke’s family
We are heartbroken to share the sudden and tragic passing of UVW member and beloved colleague and friend, Emeka Okeke, who died from a cardiac arrest at the age of 48.
Emeka was a dedicated concierge at West End Quay (WEQ) for over 15 years. He was not only a trusted and hardworking professional but also a kind-hearted, intelligent man who brought warmth and care to everyone he worked with. Emeka was deeply respected and loved by both his colleagues and the residents of WEQ.
He played a vital role in the WEQ 2023 strike and remained a passionate and active member of UVW, always standing up for what he believed was right.
Emeka leaves behind a family who now face this heartbreaking loss. We are launching this Crowdfunder to offer them some financial support during this incredibly difficult time — a small way to honour the enormous impact he had on all of us and to show his family that they are not alone.
