New stretch target
If we raise more than the cost of repairing Dragos and Mirabela's damaged property, we will use any extra funds to help people from other countries living in Cornwall who have faced similar hate crime and intimidation.

Dragos and Mirabela Robatzchi are a Romanian couple who run a taxi service in Helston, Cornwall. Among their customers are local children with disabilities, who they help to get to school.
In the run-up to Brexit on 31 January, their business was targeted several times by xenophobic vandals, who have slashed their tyres and left dog poo in their parking space. The intention was clearly to intimidate Dragos and Mirabela and damage their business.
We are horrified and disgusted by this - and unfortunately we have heard of other people from EU countries facing similar harassment in the past few weeks.
Cornwall has a long and proud tradition of welcoming people from all over the world. Like many other EU citizens living in Cornwall, Dragos and Mirabela have contributed much to our community, and nobody living here should be subjected to this sort of harassment and intimidation.
We have started this fund to support Dragos and Mirabela, and any other people who are facing similar intimidation in Cornwall, whether they are EU citizens or from other countries. Any funds raised will be used initially to cover the cost of the damage caused to Dragos and Mirabela, and anything extra will go towards helping other people in Cornwall in a similar situation.
Whatever they feel about Brexit, we know most people in Cornwall want everyone to feel welcome here. Please chip in to help make this happen!
