Aim
To fund the purchase of specialist equipment that will allow us to offer a personalisation service across our range of products in 2021/2022
The global COVID-19 pandemic has created a very uncertain landscape for millions of British small businesses, which is going to make it very challenging for businesses to survive. Crowdfunder are offering up their platform to allow UK small businesses to launch creative and innovative projects to allow businesses to survive and thrive.
Awesome Gifts design and sell novelty gifts from around the world. All items are designed in-house and sold to independent retailers and the public. We have eight new products in development and have plans in 2021 to start exporting into ASIA and beyond. We are using Crowdfunder as a platform to raise funds.
One of the biggest requests from 2020 was to offer a personalisation service on our products. The machinery we will buy if we are successful to raise the full amount of funds will allow us to print individual names on products, using a fully automated machine. This will result in additional sales and lead to the creation of 3 full time positions within the business starting in the first quarter of 2021.
We also plan to use 20% of the funds raised to give away stock to charity. Photos and documents to validate the donation, will be posted on this page along with any thank you cards or letters from the chosen charities. The donations will be made in the first quarter of 2021. The charity number will also be published online.
To survive in business we need to digitise our business model and prepare for a new way of running and sourcing new customers. This will involve attending virtual tradefairs and events, to succeed in this new arena we need to prepare a range of PDF brochures and setup a special area within our office to showcase our products online. Part of the support will also be used towards achieving these goals.
