Aim
Support Antiwar Pro-democratic Voice of Russians in the UK
We are a UK-based group of Russian-speaking people committed to promoting democracy and raising awareness of human rights violations in Russia. We stand with Ukraine and part of our mission is assisting refugees in the UK displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We rely on individuals like you to help us continue doing our essential work as a volunteer-driven group, promoting the antiwar voice of the peoples of Russia.
We are running a crowdfunding campaign to raise £2,000 for our day-to-day operations, such as website maintenance, event planning, hiring an accountant and a psychologist, and marketing our cause to attract new volunteers and supporters. It takes us £300 to run a regular anti-war rally with £100 spent on spreading the word and attracting allies. We need £40 a month for accounting support and £80 for IT systems subscription. Our target sum of £2,000 will fund our daily activities for about 3 months.
Recently we have raised over £22,000 to support three causes:
- Providing power generators to people in Ukraine who suffer from power and heat outrages as a result of heavy infrastructure damage by the Russian armed forces: November campaign raised £6,833 to buy 11 electrical generators and 5 sleeping bags, December campaign raised £11,304 to buy 40kW generator for the pumping station.
- Sending £4,675 total for ETHOS shelter in Armenia and Pristanište shelter in Montenegro to host refugees and accommodating them into new countries.
By contributing to our campaign you will be assisting us in spreading awareness about the atrocities committed by the Russian government, both to Ukrainian people and to the citizens of Russia who are openly against the war. We appreciate your help and support in assisting refugees in the UK and abroad, as well as providing aid in emergency circumstances in Ukraine.
