Help us keep netball affordable, accessible and thriving at Actonians.

Who are we?

Actonians Netball Club is a friendly, competitive and inclusive women’s netball club based in West London.

We currently have three teams and approximately 40 members, bringing together women of different ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. Whether someone is returning to netball, joining a new club or looking to develop their competitive game, we aim to provide a welcoming place where every player can feel part of a team.

We are proud to offer women an opportunity to stay active, improve their skills and build lasting friendships through netball. Everything we do is made possible by the dedication of our players, coaches & committee members. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are crowdfunding to keep netball affordable, accessible and enjoyable for our members while continuing to develop the club.

Like many grassroots sports clubs, Actonians is facing rising costs. Court hire, coaching, league participation, umpiring, insurance and equipment all have to be paid for, placing increasing pressure on both the club and its players.

We do not want cost to be the reason somebody has to step away from their team or cannot access the physical, mental and social benefits of playing netball.

Your support will help us keep membership and participation costs as affordable as possible, provide high-quality coaching and ensure our teams have the equipment they need to train, compete and develop.

It will also help us welcome new and returning players, strengthen our teams and create more opportunities for women to enjoy netball in West London.

Actonians is about more than what happens on court. We are a supportive, inclusive and sociable community that brings women together through a shared love of sport.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every donation will be invested directly into the running and development of Actonians Netball Club.

The money raised will help us:

• Purchase essential equipment, including netballs, bibs, first-aid supplies and training aids.

• Provide high-quality coaching and player-development opportunities.

• Keep membership, training and match costs as affordable as possible.

• Support court hire, umpiring, league participation and other essential club expenses.

• Offer additional training and development sessions.

• Welcome new and returning players into the club.

• Support the volunteers, coaches and officials who make our activity possible.

Rather than restricting the campaign to one item, the money will be used where it can make the greatest difference to our players and the sustainability of the club.

If we exceed our initial target, the additional funding will allow us to provide more coaching, improve our equipment and create further opportunities for women to participate and progress.

Community impact

Actonians provides women in West London with an affordable and welcoming way to remain physically active, challenge themselves and feel part of a community.

Playing netball offers benefits far beyond physical fitness. It supports mental wellbeing, builds confidence, reduces social isolation and creates friendships and support networks that can last well beyond the season.

Women can face several barriers to remaining active throughout adulthood, including cost, work and caring responsibilities, health changes and a lack of confidence when returning to sport. By keeping participation affordable and providing supportive, high-quality coaching, we can help more women overcome those barriers.

The money raised will help protect regular netball opportunities for our existing members while making it easier for new and returning players to get involved.

Supporting Actonians means supporting grassroots women’s sport and helping to ensure that more women have a place where they can be active, develop and belong.

Every donation, whatever the amount, will help us provide equipment, quality coaching and affordable netball opportunities. This will also help our campaign build momentum and encourage others to support us.
