Support activists facing repression for fighting injustice around the climate, border violence, the far-right and genocide.
Two conscientious climbers are now facing legal consequences for joining a peaceful protest, ascending a stone column to drop a banner as part of a national day of action against genocide in Gaza, climate collapse and border violence.
They could have to pay fees of anything up to £6000 or more.
The protest took place as groups occupied insurance offices nationwide to launch Boycott Bloody Insurance, calling out companies underwriting destruction—from fossil fuels to the arms trade and detention centres.
Their action was non-violent, powerful, and rooted in truth—and now they need our support.

The climbers were arrested and face charges for allegedly scraping the column they climbed - despite them removing the banner and taking careful measures to protect the stone, wrapping equipment in soft materials as a buffer. To successfully fight their case, the pair require a lawyer with the expertise to navigate the technicalities of their case.
You can greatly support them by making a donation to cover their fees, or by sharing this crowdfunder widely. Any surplus funds will be split equally between Green & Blacks Cross and Climate Action Support Pathway (CASP).

These two individuals acted not for themselves, but out of deep care for life and communities everywhere. They were moved by the ongoing horrors in Gaza, the cruelty faced by migrants and refugees, and the accelerating climate emergency. With the political and corporate system failing to protect life, they took a courageous stand, in hope of a fairer world free of cruelty, death and displacement.
Stand with them. Your donation will help cover their legal costs and support them through this fight. Let’s show these two brave souls—and the world—that when you speak out against injustice, you’re not alone.
This project aims to raise funds to resolve a claim, or other type of dispute.
