Greetings, l hope this appeal finds you well.

I'm Kenneth Ochola, age 22 and C3 member of the Butterfly Project Uganda,1687336539_1687323480524.jpg a second year student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Laws and the newly elected Publicity Secretary of KIU Law Society - the law students body at the University.

  • The main reason as to why I write this is to seek for your help to fundraise money for my tuition and other requirements of £518 . As a student pursuing law course at the University, it is next to impossible for me to fund my education or even base on the full support of my family. 1687337038_fb_img_16259012151917708.jpgThis is because of the financial instability at home and the dire need to focus inorder to excel academically, free from stress and depression at campus. This makes opting for a side job a really hard nut to crack for me to even raise some money for my requirements.

The above circumstances compel me to request you to lay a hand onto my situation. I am on a quest to raise £518 for my tuition fees before the beginning of next semester which starts on 12th August 2023. Owing to a bit of time left, I humbly request you to help me with this fundraising. My failure to meet the target before the stated deadline as it happened the last semester made me to be depressed and stressed out of missing out on the final exams but with God's grace, l managed to pull some strings as l paid on the last week before exams and l did the exams grateful. Of which the aftermath is as bad and unpleasant as I paid more extra charges onto £518 which could l have helped me in purchasing of my other legal requirements.1687338546_1687325037842.jpg

In addition to the above, I am filled with heart felt gratitude to thank The Butterfly Project for their great work of pushing me this far with my studies. They have given me mentorship and financial support throughout the years from my childhood upto now and I feel like they have done enough for me.

An appeal to get a sponsor!

With utter most kindness, I would like to welcome 1686345067_didyshots_10_(1).jpganyone who would like to continue with me on this journey of five years course. A sponsor or combined efforts for my five-year course would be the best thing and I wish to get one. This is to help in reducing the heavy financial burden that is on the lap of The Butterfly Project.

My future ambitions after graduation.

After graduation, I will be using my legal knowledge as a professional and learnt lawyer to fight against social injustice not only in Uganda but to the rest of the world where injustice is happening.1687337898_20230604_010154_0000.png The Freeman Campaign will be an initiative to fight against social injustice in the Human Rights context to those who can't afford justice spearheaded by me. So definitely I will be starting an NGO using my profession to champion change as a changemaker.

Participation into the University politics.

Morestill, I am participating in politics at the University which is a little bit costy for me if am to achieve my desired goals - hopefully next year, if everything goes well, l shall be contesting for the position of Speakership KIU Law Society but I am limited by the inadequate finance since l have to contribute a certain amount towards tuition fees and also invest into my desired leadership ambitions which l can only manage to do this if my tuition is catered for fully and l struggle personally to meet my goals.

I am delighted to receive any amount donated for my tuition fees. It shall be my pleasure if my request is put into consideration and any positive response shall be highly appreciated.1687338633_1687325019056.jpg

Thank You, May God bless you.
