Let's get Bournemouth from ZERO to HERO!

Dear friends and supporters of our campaign, 

It's a been a little while since I last wrote to update you on events our end, so apologies on that front, however I am now very happy to tell you that the dispensers have finally arrived - YAY! They were delivered last week and are now stacked high in their boxes behind the scenes at Sunrise. The shelving that is to house them is coming on Friday and all being well, it will all be put in place within the next week (she says madly crossing fingers!).  All that's left then is for them to be filled up with lots of lovely loose organic foods! 

If you follow us on Facebook and will be shopping with us once it's all up and running then you may want to check out our pinned post (at the top of the page) re the zero waste area. We have asked people to list their TOP TEN (dried loose food) STORE CUPBOARD STAPLES. This is so we get a reeeeally good idea of what people would like us to stock and will also ensure it is worth our while investing in bulk purchasing of certain items. If you would like to add your favourites please do. It really is proving to be very enlightening. There are many items that we expected people to ask for but a few we hadn't even thought about ourselves, e.g. Himalayan salt for one!

Because buying products in bulk is initially more costly for us, and because we just don't have the cash flow to be able to so, as much as we would like to fill up every single one of the dispensers straight away and have a 'ta-dah' moment, it is more likely that they will be filled little by little and starting with the most popular items first.  However, it hopefully won't take tooooo long and we will keep people posted (on Facebook) as and when we add a new item. 

So a HUGE thank you once again for all your help and support in enabling this to happen (as it really really wouldn't be without your help) and we look forward to seeing many of you shopping with us the plastic free way soon soon SOON!
